Georges Seurat · Bathers at Asnières, 1884
Painted the same year as the Grande Jatte and set on the opposite bank, with factory chimneys behind. These are working men and boys on their day off, painted life-size in a format normally reserved for history painting. Seurat later went back and added dots to parts of it.
