Terms and conditions
These terms apply to every order placed through chadbrookcards.com. They are written for personal shoppers and do not take away any of your rights as a consumer.
1. Who you are buying from
Chadbrook Cards is a trading name of Chadbrook Publishing Limited, 58 Station Road, Harborne, Birmingham, B17 9LX. You can contact us at hello@chadbrookcards.com or on 0121 517 0865.
2. Placing an order
When you submit an order and your payment is taken, we send an order confirmation email. That email is our acceptance of your order and the point at which a contract is formed between us. Your order number is shown on the confirmation page and in the email; please quote it in any correspondence.
Occasionally we are unable to accept an order, for example because an item has sold out, a price or description was shown incorrectly, or we cannot deliver to the address given. If that happens we will tell you by email and refund any payment in full.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Delivery is charged in addition, at the rate shown at checkout.
- Payment is taken in full when you place the order, by Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Card payments are processed by Square; we never see or store your full card details.
- If we discover a pricing error after you have ordered, we will contact you and give you the choice of paying the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
4. Offers
Our buy three get one free offer applies to single greeting cards only. For every four single cards in an order, the cheapest is free. The discount is applied automatically in the basket and cannot be exchanged for cash. Christmas card packs and mugs are not included. Free standard delivery applies when the order value, after any discount, is £15 or more. We may change or withdraw offers at any time, but never for orders already placed.
5. Delivery
We deliver to UK addresses only, by Royal Mail. Delivery costs and estimated times are set out on the delivery and returns page. Estimates are not guarantees; we are not responsible for delays outside our control, but if an order is very late we will replace it or refund you. The items become your responsibility once they are delivered to the address you gave us.
6. Cancelling and returning
As a consumer you have the right to cancel your order for any reason up to 14 days after the day you receive it, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Tell us by email, return the items within 14 days of telling us, and we will refund the items and standard delivery within 14 days of receiving them. Return postage is at your cost unless the items are faulty or not as described. We may reduce the refund if items have been handled beyond what is needed to look at them.
If an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, you have the rights set out in the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including a replacement or a full refund together with delivery and reasonable return costs. The practical steps are on the returns page.
7. Products and descriptions
Our cards and mugs are reproductions of works of art. We take care to show them accurately, but colours on screen vary and a print can never be identical to the original painting. Minor variations in colour and finish are a normal part of the product and are not a fault.
8. Your account
If you create an account you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for anything done using it. Please tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. We may close accounts that are used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.
9. Intellectual property
The design of this website, our photographs, card designs and text belong to Chadbrook Publishing Limited or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without our written permission, other than for your own personal, non-commercial use of the site.
10. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, that are caused by something outside our control, or that relate to a business rather than personal use. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights.
11. Events outside our control
If something beyond our reasonable control, such as postal strikes, severe weather or supplier failure, delays your order, we will let you know and do what we can to put it right. If the delay is substantial you may cancel and receive a full refund.
12. Complaints, law and changes
If you are unhappy with anything, please email hello@chadbrookcards.com and we will do our best to sort it out. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales, or in the courts of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there. We may update these terms from time to time; the version in force when you order is the one that applies to that order. Our privacy and cookies page explains how we look after your personal data.
