Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec · In Bed, 1893
Two figures in a bed, seen head-on with the bedding making most of the composition. Lautrec made a series of these in a brothel, where he lived for a period, and they are notable for how ordinary they are: no drama, no audience, just two people asleep.
