Ohara Koson · Irises, 1925–36
Irises, printed in the shin-hanga manner that revived Japanese woodblock work for a twentieth-century market, much of it exported. The blades of the leaves are cut as long unbroken curves, which is difficult in wood and is the sort of thing collectors of these prints look for first.
