Twelve of the most recognisable paintings in Western art, spanning nearly five hundred years from Van Eyck's Arnolfini couple in 1434 to Klimt's gold-leaf embrace of 1908. Between them sit a Dutch girl in a turban, a wave off Kanagawa, two hands not quite touching on a Roman ceiling, and a scream on a bridge. There is no theme beyond the fact that most people know them all. The pack holds one of each of these twelve cards: - Johannes Vermeer – Girl with a Pearl Earring, 1665 - Katsushika Hokusai – The Great Wave off Kanagawa, c.1829-33 - Michelangelo – The Creation of Adam, c.1512 - Pieter Bruegel the Elder – Landscape with the Fall of Icarus, c.1560 - Pierre-Auguste Renoir – Dance at Le Moulin de la Galette, 1876 - Sandro Botticelli – The Birth of Venus, 1485 - Jan Van Eyck – The Arnolfini Portrait, 1434 - Vincent Van Gogh – Van Gogh's Bedroom in Arles, 1889 - Claude Monet – The Promenade, Woman with a Parasol, 1875 - Edvard Munch – The Scream, 1893 - Gustav Klimt – The Kiss, 1907-08 - Georges Seurat – A Sunday on La Grande Jatte, 1884-86 Each card is 5 × 7 inches (127 × 177 mm), printed in the UK on 324gsm fine art card with a satin finish, blank inside for your own message, with a gummed brown kraft envelope. The twelve cards and envelopes arrive in a plain postal box with a folding lid, which can be re-closed and used to keep them in. These are the same cards we sell individually; the only difference is that they are not separately wrapped, and the pack costs less than buying the twelve on their own.
