Twelve of Ravilious's watercolours in one box, drawn from the years on the Sussex Downs and the south coast when he had settled into his own manner: colour dragged across the paper with a dry brush so the grain shows through and the light comes out bleached and wind-scoured. Several were painted in the last three years before he was lost on an air-sea rescue flight off Iceland in 1942. The pack holds one of each of these twelve cards: - Wiltshire Landscape, 1937 - Westbury Horse, 1939 - Train Landscape, 1939 - Anchor and Boats, Rye, 1938 - Newhaven Harbour, 1937 - Wilmington Giant, 1939 - Field Elm, 1932 - Beachy Head Lighthouse (Belle Tout Interior), 1939 - Aldeburgh Bathing Machines, 1938 - The Lifeboat, 1938 - Geraniums and Carnations, 1938 - Chalk Figure Near Weymouth, 1939 Each card is 5 × 7 inches (127 × 177 mm), printed in the UK on 324gsm fine art card with a satin finish, blank inside for your own message, with a gummed brown kraft envelope. The twelve cards and envelopes arrive in a plain postal box with a folding lid, which can be re-closed and used to keep them in. These are the same cards we sell individually; the only difference is that they are not separately wrapped, and the pack costs less than buying the twelve on their own.
